Chef Joe
Chef Joe Gera, known for his innovative approach to traditional cuisine, and advocacy for celiac disease has become a well known name in the world of fine dining & barbecue in a very short amount of time.
Born and raised in Latrobe PA, to a family deeply rooted in culinary traditions; Chef Joe’s love affair with cooking began at an early age. Inspired by his grandmother's artistry and his northern Italian heritage, her ‘wooden spoon’ became the most important item in his life. That 60+ year old spoon is still used daily.
Chef Gera's culinary philosophy revolves around the use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create harmonious flavors and stunning presentations. His commitment to sustainable and ethical practices is evident in his insistence on seasonal produce, responsibly-sourced seafood, and organic ingredients. His dedication to promoting local farmers and artisans has garnered him a lot of respect within the culinary community.
Beyond the boundaries of traditional restaurant kitchens, Chef Gera has also extended his expertise to television screens, sharing his passion for food with a wider audience. Through his popular YouTube channel, he has captivated viewers with his charisma, expert knowledge, and infectious enthusiasm for all types of food.
